"This is my first time in eight years of living in Spain that I can actually day 'Wow!' for both the food and the service. This restaurant is a must. Fresh fish grilled over coals, and for the my first time in Spain, served with a lemon garlic butter. Get here early because it fills up quickly and some fish is unavailable due to popular demand. They don't take reservations but you won't wait more than 20 mins for a table. The price is reasonable and the place comes with a superb view over the harbour to Santander."

"Briefly saw this place mentioned on an online itinerary of Santander so we also took a boat to Pedreña for the seafood here. We were a little early so we explored the town until 1330. We ordered the dorado (or was it sea bass?) and it was one of the best, if not the best fish I have ever had! Grilled to perfection, soft, tasty flesh, slight tang and zest from the lemon, expertly enhanced with rich butter and salt. Staff were all also super professional and gave great recommendations. Honestly, my brother and I talk about the dish sometimes even though we visited late November 2022."

"Unexpectedly (for us) awesome place for BBQ sardines and all manner of seafood (you can also get steaks but seafood recommended). We walked past before it opened and went next door for a drink to wait. When we came back at opening time there was a queue. Excellent food. Fast service. Good value."

"Nice fish restaurant near Santander, on the other side of the bay. Informal atmosphere with good fresh fish, don´t try ordering other things. Reasonable pricing (except for the fries, 15 euros for a small plate) and good short wine list of Spanish producers. My only claim here would be the service and the desserts. Service can be significantly improved, waiters seemed always in a hurry. We had the cheesecake which we didn´t like and the selection of ice cream was quite limited. Would still recommend if you´re in the area, but probably not worth the trip. Must reserve."

"Excellent! A well and professionally run machine used to years of success. Reservations a must! But even having a reservation for a second (and recommended) lunch seating, which begins at 3 PM (1st at 1:30 PM), waiting on the street (with cars passing by) is worth it. The staff is well trained and capable. Our table of 3 was ready within 15 minutes of wait on the street side terrace with bay views. This popular restaurant is simple, basic, and well managed which you notice when going to wash your hands in a small but clean restroom with all the sanitary essentials and a welcome Airblade hand dryer, not one of those tired, or, what’s worse, non working hand dryers and no paper towels. Plates, flatware, and glasses are of good quality, including decent paper napkins. Fresh bread is served automatically and added to the bill. Once seated, the initial disappointment of too much success and the resulting, and regrettable treatment at the crowded, street side entrance waiting just to claim your reserved table dissipated, this restaurant performs impeccably. We ordered standard dishes such as a salad, fried calamari, octopus, and 2 orders of grilled sardines, along with a glass of beer and a bottle of the recommended Verdejo white wine for our table of 3. The octopus and the sardines were among the best we ever tasted! Very much recommended!"
